Menstruation is predictable and affects many employees through much of their working lives. ISO 45010:2026, published on 7 September 2026, gives guidance on how menstrual health can be handled in OHS management systems.

A governance question
The Norwegian Internal Control Regulations require systematic OHS work. When menstrual health affects capacity, safety or absence, it can fall within that work. Arrangements planned in procedures mean fewer cases have to be handled one at a time.
