Menstrual health at work
Menstrual health affects capacity, safety and absence for a significant share of the workforce. STÖ Group AS builds the infrastructure that lets Norwegian and European employers handle it systemically, within OHS, GDPR Art. 9 and the forthcoming ISO 45010.
From individual case to infrastructure
Menstrual health has traditionally been handled as individual accommodation. That is neither scalable nor aligned with modern OHS and privacy practice.
STÖ Group combines CE-marked medical device (class IIA), distribution through Apotek 1 and Boots Apotek, and governance technology that analyses policy documents — without collecting individual health data.
Standardisation: ISO 45010 and SN/K 551
STÖ Group sits on Standard Norge expert committee SN/K 551, the Norwegian mirror committee for ISO/TC 283. The committee participates in the development of ISO 45010 — the forthcoming international standard for menstrual and menopausal health in OHS management systems.
What it requires from employers
Employers need to move from reactive accommodation to scalable workplace health design. That means aggregated, auditable documentation — not individual registration.
Questions and answers
- Is menstrual health an OHS issue?
- Yes. When it affects capacity, safety or absence, it falls within systematic OHS work under the Norwegian internal control regulation. ISO 45010 will tie it explicitly to OHS management systems.
- How is it handled under GDPR Art. 9?
- By building system-level infrastructure instead of collecting individual-level health data.
