ISO 45010:2026, scope and content
ISO 45010:2026 was published by ISO/TC 283 on 7 September 2026. It gives guidance on how menstrual and menopausal health can be addressed within occupational health and safety management systems.

What the standard covers
The guidance covers policy, risk assessment, physical and organisational measures, communication and follow-up as part of systematic OHS work.
It was developed in ISO/TC 283, Working Group 10 (WG 10), and is written for use alongside ISO 45001 and ISO 45003.
Relationship to ISO 45001 and ISO 45003
ISO 45001 specifies requirements for OHS management systems, and organisations can be certified to it. ISO 45003 gives guidance on psychosocial risk.
Organisations with an established management system can use ISO 45010 within the risk assessment and documentation they already have.
Limits
ISO 45010:2026 is a guidance standard. Organisations cannot be certified to it, and it does not assume certification to ISO 45001.
