Why now
Workplace health is becoming part of governance, documentation and compliance.
ISO 45010:2026, data protection law and EU sustainability reporting pull in the same direction. Needs that are predictable across a workforce, such as menstruation and menopause, should be planned for in procedures before they become individual cases. Organisations need to show that the arrangements exist without making any individual employee visible.
Workplace health is therefore moving from HR and welfare into governance and internal control. That opens a market for services that can document the arrangements within strict privacy rules.

ISO 45010:2026 was published on 7 September 2026. It gives guidance on menstrual and menopausal health in OHS management systems and was developed in ISO/TC 283, Working Group 10 (WG 10).
Nicolai Bjerknes Slinning is a Working Group Expert in ISO/TC 283/WG 6, which is revising ISO 45001. He took part as Working Group Expert in ISO/TC 283/WG 10, which developed ISO 45010:2026. He was nominated to both by Standards Norway through its mirror committee SN/K 551 on occupational health and safety management systems, where he is a participant. Participation is in a personal capacity, and this content does not represent ISO, ISO/TC 283 or Standards Norway.

The product
Our first product on the market.
STÖ Period Pain Relief is a CE-marked Class IIa medical device, a thermal heat patch developed for drug-free relief of menstrual pain. For the group, it is the first commercial business, and it shows that we can bring a regulated product into the pharmacy chains.
The product is sold in more than 600 Norwegian pharmacies (Apotek 1 and Boots Apotek) and at stostore.no. Grocery retail is the next channel.
